The biggest difference is obviously the operating systems. Apple uses the Mac OS X operating system while Microsoft uses Windows. A PC has affordable upgrades that will allow you to upgrade the operating system. While the upgrades are affordable they offer a variety for people to choose from, with each one offering something different. With MAC, there is just one version that is also affordable.
Hardware
Another big difference is the hardware in each computer. Microsoft is really its hardware. Computers like Dell, Gateway, Sony & HP sell their hardware, the computers, in various stores. MAC also sells its own hardware. The only big difference is that the MAC operating system only works on a MAC. Microsoft will work on all the other computers.
Software
Microsoft and Apple have different software. Programs that work on a PC won’t run on a MAC. While you will see MAC programs compatible with PC, you won’t see PC programs that will work on a MAC.
Accessories and Devices
Apple has so many accessories for their products. They sell a keyboard protector that you can put on your MAC computer. They also sell wireless keyboards and mouse for their desktop.
